Who can sign up for an account? 

In order to sign up for a Fennel account, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a valid Social Security Number
  • Have a legal U.S. residential address (P.O. Boxes are not acceptable)
  • Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid U.S. visa
  • You may be required to present a U.S. driver’s license, passport, or provide information from another form of U.S. government-issued identification.

How old do I need to be to open a Fennel account?

You need to be at least 18 years of age to open a Fennel account.

How can I open a Fennel account?

Welcome to Fennel! In order to open a Fennel brokerage account, you’ll have to download the mobile app and then go through the onboarding process. This involves filling out required information and submitting an application. Our team will then review your application and either approve your account or request additional information. Once you are approved you can start investing immediately.

Why does Fennel ask for my personal information?

Fennel is required to obtain certain information from its customers in order to comply with its regulatory obligation. Fennel must conduct know your customer (KYC) reviews as well as Anti-Money Laundering due diligence. How do I update my personal information?

We aim to protect the information you share with us. To find your information, open the Fennel app and tap the “Profile” button. If you wish to change any of the information found on your profile, you can send us an email (support@fennel-financials.com).

I just signed up, how do I verify my account?

Upon signing up for a Fennel account, you should receive an email containing a 6-digit verification code sent to the address you used to create the account. Enter that 6-digit code into the app when you are prompted in order to verify your account. Afterwards, you’ll be able to proceed with the onboarding process.

Why hasn’t my account been approved?

As a FINRA registered broker-dealer, Fennel is required to conduct due diligence on all new account applications. Generally, Fennel approves applications within 24 hours, but that process can take longer or Fennel may ask for additional information before an account can be approved.

In some instances, accounts may be rejected. This could be a result of the due diligence conducted, system error, data entry error, or if you work for a registered broker-dealer.
